Hello Lorries,

and welcome from a native-born Texan.  I've been transplanted and living in Louisiana, but I'm close enough to return frequently.

Hoping to get over in March/April and time it right to see whole fields of blue bonnets.  Last year was the worst for wildflowers in decades.

Thanks for the warm welcome!!  You know, usually it's warm here in Texas (weather wise), even in February, but we're in the 40's right now.  That's cold here!! (At least it is to me!!)  But wait till summer, then I'll be complaining that it's way to hot!  

And as far as the name of my town, it is, indeed, named after a round rock which still sits in a creek bed in the middle of town.  It was used as a landmark to show the trail riders of long ago which way to turn when they were on the Chisholm Trail.  Nothing unusual about the rock.  I have seen it for myself and it's just a regular old round rock!

Well we have some sunshine here today so I will try and send some out your way!!
Temperature wise, it's still a little too cold here, so if you're experiencing nice warm weather there this time of year, you can send some down this way anytime!

P.S.  Just curious?  Is "Round Rock" the name of your town?  We have a province out here called Newfoundland and it's "nicknamed" the "Big Rock!!"   They say it is literally like living on "one big rock!!"  But it's beautiful too I heard!
